We found our way to this very impressive belltower (Doullens Beffroi). The information centre across the road was still shut but information in the window told us that the original belfry dated from 1275 but this present one was rebuilt in the 1600s. It acted at that time as a watchtower, guardian of the community bell, a prison and a chapel. It has 3 bells that ring every hour.
